For the Decochic brand, we wanted an intuitive and user-friendly e-shop for both the end-user and the client themselves: Shopify turned out to be a perfect fit for us.
Shopify is making its mark within the world of dedicated online selling platforms, and not without reason: there are several excellent reasons to use it as an alternative to Prestashop, WooCommerce, or Magento.
Let’s see what these reasons are.
Simplified Configuration and User-Friendly Interface
Shopify is designed to be user-friendly: its configuration is simplified compared to other e-commerce platforms, and it relies on a fast, secure, and reliable server.
The simplified configuration saves time on technical, logistical, and management settings, allowing you to focus on other crucial aspects of the project, such as defining navigation, design, and usability.
The “leap” compared to the previous version of the website built on Prestashop was immediately evident. No limitations regarding functionalities and configuration possibilities, just the essentials where they are needed.
Scalability
Shopify is a scalable tool: you can start with the basic plan (currently $29/month) with standard features and then expand the functionality as your online business grows.
This can be achieved through other subscription plans, but especially through an app marketplace for all needs: from reviews to upselling, from loyalty points management to advanced sales reporting and time-limited sales.
Everything can be upgraded and implemented without causing service interruptions: in short, no unpleasant surprises.
Online + Offline
The ease of use of the back-end is 360 degrees: let’s not forget that an e-commerce, to function, shouldn’t only think about its virtual nature but must also be consistent with the offline point of sale!
It’s true that the internet now influences one in three purchases, but the new consumer no longer sees a difference between digital and real in the retail world: many customers enter the physical store to then buy online (showrooming), while others rely on the e-commerce website to evaluate the expenses they will make in the offline store (webrooming).
For this reason, Shopify offers the possibility of being used as a real management tool for your store: it even provides a Point of Sales payment system for your physical store.
Cross-Channel
The cross-channel capability of Shopify is certainly one of the platform’s features that piqued our interest and convinced our client. Shopify integrates sales channels on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Amazon, and other retail or social platforms.
The so-called “social-commerce” is now a standard in online retail. According to Media Lunge statistics, online sales from social media have increased by 93%: who wouldn’t be tempted to purchase a product that catches their attention on Instagram by simply clicking on it?
Therefore, Shopify has allowed us to integrate existing social strategies to share e-commerce content in a more creative and immediate manner.
No need to add anything: Antartika-approved!
